Rope access vinyl installation

  • DATE: Summer 2012
  • CLIENT: Service Graphics
  • WORK COMPLETED: Self adhesive vinyl installation

When Glaxo Smithkline contracted Service Graphics to brand the front and back of their HQ in Brentford, Hi-Maintenance were soon involved.

After carrying out a rope access survey to assess window sizes and layouts we then consulted with SG to arrange the best production method for the self-adhesive vinyl, to allow straight forward installation. Initially working from window cleaning cradles, the British summer weather made progress very slow due to the limitations of the cradle. It soon became apparent that a rope access based installation would not only be safer but also more productive. With special care taken to protect the building envelope a four man team set about installing the giant images to the front and back of the 70m tall office building. Despite the initial weather delays the project was still completed in time for the main event!

The results were clear to see from all around.
